Amnesty International: Jemen Air Attacks

Last Wednesday evening in The Hague, an appeal to the embassy of Saudi Arabia from Amnesty International Nederland to stop the air attacks on the citizens of Jemen. With a beam projector they made a projection on the embassy of Saudi Arabia, which represented the air attacks on Jemen. There was a live report on Facebook, which got a lot of attention and a campaign video of the action was made. In other words, an appeal which the embassy of Saudi Arabia cannot ignore!

Billa: The Social Catalog

Billa, a retail store in Romania created the first Social Catalogue – a catalogue in which Billa Facebook users decided the discount value of the products with a simple Like. Each day a new product was published in the Catalogue Facebook App and simultaneously in a post on Billa Facebook Wall.

People were invited to Like the product if they were interested in purchasing it with a discount. According to the number of Likes reached in 24 hours, the product could be bought in Billa stores, in the entire country, with a discount up to 50%. The value of the discount was directly proportional to the number of Likes gathered.

The new stunt of the Brinker Hotel is to ask people to like their Facebook-page if you had an awful sleep, if you were treated bad, if the toilet could not flush… A nice and original way to get more likes!

Cadbury: Joy Generator

Chocolate brand Cadbury has created a one-of-a-kind vending machine that uses your Facebook profile to match you with one of its chocolate flavors. Called the ‘Joy Generator’, it has been dubbed as the “world’s first flavor-matching social vending machine” by the company. To get matched, simply login to Facebook with the vending machine. Depending on your likes and interests, the machine will match and dispense one of twelve flavors. For example, if you happen to have an “energetic” personality, you’ll be matched with a ‘Crunchie’ bar, while those who are more sociable will be given the ‘Rocky Road’ flavor. Missing? Teddy Bear Malloy

Past month there was a lot of commotion surrounding the disappearance of a little girl’s teddy bear named Malloy. A special Facebook page was set up, and every Dutch person seemed to be looking for the cuddly toy. Even the ‘Telegraaf’ reported about the disappearance. Yesterday, Malloy was finally found! It all turned out to be a guerrilla stunt to promote Comedy Central’s new show Brickleberry, in which Malloy is a main character.
