VW Polo: Pedestrian Recognition shoot

For the launch of the new Volkswagen Polo, DDB Brussels invented a striking stunt. To prove that pedestrian recognition, standard on the Polo, saves lives, the Polo was equipped with a unique camera. Via a smart webcam, the camera was linked to security technology. Each time the Polo brake off for a pedestrian, the device took a picture. These pictures were used for a national VW Polo campaign in Belgium.

Vodafone: Virtual swimming with white sharks

You can also experience virtual reality underwater… swimming between white sharks in the Amsterdam Marnix swimming pool. The VR presentation with images from the South African waters was organized by Vodafone, which wanted to show the possibilities of underwater VR. No sinecure, because the signal streamed to the VR glasses can only take a very small distance in the water.

The film is based on true events. A year ago Ben found a picture online that struck him so hard he had to do something with it.

The stunt was live during the morning program of Sander Hoogendoorn, which was broadcasted at the same time as Beelens new show on Radio Veronica.

Jaguar: Jaguar Musicdrome

In order to launch Jaguar’s first SUV, the Jaguar Musicdrome, the first turntable in the world, was introduced. By tracking the car with a camera the F-Pace controls the music. The faster it drives, the faster the music goes. The higher it drives, the louder it gets. Popularly known as “wheels of death” these type of tacks are reserved for motorbikes and fast racing cars. Only a light weight SUV like the F-Pace and Jaguar’s superior performance made this feat possible. The one week event with Jaguar Musicdrome attracted 90,000 spectators while saw 55% increase in catalog online orders as well as 114% increase in website traffic.

Lotto: Bucket List Experience

The campaign uses Virtual Reality to create a 5D-experience in a Stockholm hangar that allows participants to recharge on the world’s most beautiful beaches, experience the best Heli-skiing, and enjoy an African safari, among other things. The experience consists of five different VR experiences supplemented with custom-built simulators and sensory effects such as wind, aromas, heat and even an artificial elephant trunk to take the sense of reality to a whole new level.
