BRU – Social Plates

By September 8, 2020 No Comments

Bru is Belgium’s finest water, served in Belgium’s finest restaurants. Thanks to its light sparkles and magnesium, it is recognized to be the best possible match for fine dining. Which is why, since always, Bru is a legacy brand at the table. Unfortunately, nowadays, that table seems to be hijacked by… Foodstagramming. When fine dining, an astonishing 69% of people try to take the perfect snap of their food. Eventually caring more about taking pictures than the people they are with. That’s why Happiness and Bru introduce: Social Plates. Specially designed plates that urge compulsive Foodstagrammers to not get distracted from the people they’re with. How? Since 2017, any iPhone running on iOS 11 comes with a built-in QR reader in its camera. Other brands are following since then. We carefully hid QR codes in the design of the plate. So whenever you can’t resist the urge to take a picture, the plate will instantly push a message into your camera screen: ‘Nice photo! But don’t forget to enjoy your dining companions as well.’ The right message, at exactly the right time. People and restaurants could order the plates online. To also urge customers or their loved ones to spend more time together at the table.
