In a stunt to promote an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations (being shown on TV channel Drama this Bank Holiday weekend) five ghostly Miss Havishams appeared in Tube carriages and on London buses a couple of days ago. The quintet also visited Big Ben at 8.40am and the author’s final resting place in Westminster Abbey.
