Volkswagen – Rescue Drivers

Volkswagen is the largest car brand in Belgium. That is a great honor, but above all a great opportunity to do something with the many Volkswagen drivers on the road. That is why Volkswagen, in collaboration with Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen and Croix-Rouge de Belgique, offers its more than 710,000 drivers a free initiation of first aid, during which they are transformed into “Rescue Drivers”. So in the future there will always be someone around who knows what to do in the first vital minutes.

During a three-hour session, the necessary knowledge is learned to respond appropriately in case of cardiac arrest or asphyxia. Training as many of Volkswagen drivers as possible to become Rescue Drivers can help save more lives. Starting CPR immediately can double or even quadruple your chances of survival. The campaign kicks off with a national newspaper ad with a teasing headline that even gets drivers of the competition to read. All Volkswagen drivers also receive a personal invitation. If you register on rescuedrivers.be, you will receive first aid initiation from a concessionaire of your choice. After the training, all participants receive a unique “Rescue Drivers” logo that they can attach to their car. In this way they can demonstrate that they belong to the growing group of Volkswagen Rescue Drivers.
