For the second year in a row, FCB Partners and ActionAid Italy joined forces on November 25th for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Introducing Call4Margherita, a protest campaign inspired by the true story of a woman who pretended to order a pizza just to escape her partner’s violence. So, pizza Margherita carboard boxes became the media to launch a strong message: women need better tools than a pizza to save their life and denounce violence. With the help of many pizza shops in Milan, Rome, Naples and Bologna, people ordered Margherita pizzas which were delivered by Call4Margherita riders. Each pizza box had the protest message: “Margherita, 35 years old, had to pretend to order this pizza to escape her partner’s violence. And many other women did the same.”
