Nearly 40,000 race fans came to the F1 circuit in Zandvoort by bicycle. Koninklijke Gazelle transformed the bicycle ecoduct on the Former Trambaan between Bentveld and Zandvoort into a special DRS tunnel with four large solar-powered wind turbines. They literally gave thousands of race fans on their bicycles to the circuit in Zandvoort acceleration due to the tailwind. Formula 1 journalist and commentator Olav Mol encouraged the cyclists along the way!
