In a new campaign, McDonald’s uses billboards without images and logo’s, but only with the smell of French fries… Smell and touch are people’s most primal senses and at the same time so underutilized in advertising so McDonald’s put it to the test… Raúl&Rigel produced and placed for TBWA\NEBOKO and McDonald’s Nederland simple red and yellow “scented” billboards. As soon as passers-by come within a radius of 5 meters of the billboards, they are greeted with the smell of McDonald’s French Fries, which is spread from the billboard…
